10 Room Hotel. In going towards
simplicity, we ran into an area yet to be expressed. Our
idea is to identify objects that can take on an emotional
dimension. We tried to create volume.and this led to new,
exciting research. In trying to rethink lines, sizes and
uses, we created objects with a pure message, set free and
liberated from declensions. To abandon the norm and head
towards a wider, special vision, far from homologations:
an item of furniture, a bed, a bench able to penetrate our
sensibilities. Workable spaces from different angles, without
the weight of an intrusive form. We are not proposing an
interpretation, we want to offer you an alphabet to make
up the story with. With this project, G.T.Design appears
in the night zone, a territory that is the synthesis of
living values. Rest, intimacy, love and protection. Here
you can get close to the features that make a day-to-day
gesture exceptional.
A collection of unique pieces.
Le Stanze bedcovers are sails that carry olden-day perfumes.
Aged and dyed by hand they are large canvases of fresh hemp,
jute, glossy linen and soft cotton designed to reproduce
the particular characteristics of fabrics "worn" over time.
The consistency, the soft velvety touch, the structural
imperfections and colour make them irreplaceable and unique:
- dyed contrastingly on both sides for the jute version
treated with a chalk-effect polymeric resin;
- piece-dyed pieces immersed in a ton sur ton colour bath;
- linen covers with wool embroidered floral inserts, preciously
hand-painted.
Softest jute with a weathered aspect, diaphanous cotton,
cozy wool, graphic stitching and flowers, soft folds and
more rigid surfaces, jacquard fabric and gauze. They are
the intense textiles chosen to construct the integral and
complete night systems, becoming bed spreads, duvet covers,
quilts, pillow covers, head board covers.
Open to personalization and other weaving of style: from
the freshest elements like irregularly hand-embroidered
cotton quilts and jute covers with minimal 'riddle' borders
in gray or titanium, to other more romantic, richer linens
embroidered with flowers with monochrome and matelassé jacquard,
with cotton gauze draped like a cloud on a fairy tale duvet
cover.
