GTDESIGN works for bringing authentical objects into the home of our clients, to improve their quality of living and everyday life.
Materials are the soul of G.T.DESIGN's research. Most of the production is hand-made and made of fibres of natural origin. This type of workmanship gives each object exclusive characteristics:
as in nature, nothing is identically repeated and nothing is perfect, each model is therefore unique. The rugs can have irregular edges and may lose excess fibre. The chromatic tones of the surface may vary as all natural fibres are photosensitive. The raw material of G.T.DESIGN's
production is completely biodegradable and obtained from easily renewable sources which sustain the economy of developing countries favouring the sustainable progress of the same. G.T.DESIGN also proposes, in this productive concept, to sustain the old and expressive textile traditions of these countries with the concept of modern design which is renewed in content and expression.
Coconut fibre
Hand-woven rugs in purest coconut fibre. Those wishing to acquire natural products must understand the various aspects, appreciating their value means understanding and accepting their limits. Like all natural fibres, coconut fibre are also subject to colour variations when in contact with light and, just like denim fabrics, changes with use. The coconut fibre used by G.T.DESIGN is the most valued. It is hand-woven on traditional looms and dyed with non-toxic colours. Coconut fibre is thermo-insulating, anti-static, resistant to fungi and mould, hard-wearing and versatile. It is obtained from easily renewable sources and sustains the economy of entire tropical countries favouring their sustainable development.

Jute
Jute is a natural fibre extracted from the cortical layer of an herbaceous plant. It has excellent hygroscopicity and it is fresh and resistant to wear and tear.
Cotton
Important features of the cotton fibres are: excellent hygroscopicity, resistance to usury and resistance to heat.
Linen
Linen fibres have, like cotton fibres, the capacity of letting the skin breathe, and an excellent resistance to usury. The ability of absorbing much humidity and heat conductivity assures high comfort, especially during the summer season. The touch of linen gives in fact a sense of freshness
Wool
Fundamental characteristics of wool are its excellent thermal isolation, good protection against humidity and naturally high fireproof quality.
