Colours and sizes of the collection Kama (.pdf)

Kama captures light and allows it to fluctuate from its weave. Soft to the touch, brilliant to the eye, the hand-woven viscose fibre is both sumptuous and wild. The sizes of these modules are designed to welcome the body and wrap it in gratifying intimacy. To be used alone or contrasted upon rough and uneven surfaces.
Thus we have the “Kama Project”: from the tension between opaque-bright, rough-smooth, large-small. The softness of these rugs and the possibility of requesting custom sizes make the Kama collection ideal for all kinds of environments, from the living room to the bedroom.

KamaSu is a form of light and seduction, made in long, hand-woven viscose fibre. Used alone it is the peak of colour in a room. Combined with the rough material of a coconut fibre rug, it becomes a soft and pleasant island upon which to lie and let the hand roam.

The Kama project is completed by the coir rugs. The sober coconut-fibre surface of Coconutrug welcomes the silkiness of Kama: two opposites which, together, become a single project-object. Forms that create unusual combinations, exalt the bright colours of the viscose and the muted tones of the coconut fibre.

Kama rugs are available in the following colours: Bianco Luce, Bianco Caldo, Blu Profondo, Bruno Intenso, Nero Ideale, Rosso Vivo, Turchese Puro, Viola Astratto, and new colours: Argento Vero, Muschio Perlato, Rosa Antico, Sabbia Lunare.

Maintenance:
  • For every-day cleaning a Carpet Beater is sufficient, take care to check the power on an edge to avoid tearing out the fibre and weakening the borders
  • Avoid the build-up of excessive dirt on the surface of the rug by washing it frequently, otherwise cleaning could be difficult.
  • For washing, entrust the rug to a centre specialised in oriental rug cleaning and ask for it to be washed flat in plenty of cold water and neutral detergent. Natural drying is certainly the best method, slower but better able to respect the structure of the fibres and the pigment. In any case, the rug should always be dried with cold air
  • The use of an anti-slip undermat, produced according to G.T.DESIGN specs, is strongly advised for viscose rugs, indispensable on wooden floors, carpets and marble. Its use, as well as prolonging the life of the rug, also has the pleasant effect of softness and thermal-isolation
  • Never use adhesive tape or other materials containing glue directly on the rug, neither on the front or the back.
