Toyo Ito puts his signature to G.T.DESIGN's space at the International Furniture Fair. G.T.DESIGN's display for this edition of Milan's International Furniture Fair has been designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. Synergistically adjoining Horm's stand, this space is transformed into a container for the Japanese designer's project reflections. Toyo Ito welcomed the opportunity to create two situations that are complementary but perfectly independent, inspired by the recent project for Japanese SUS Company: a residential complex made of tunnels created with aluminium drawplates that design curves and spaces, rooms, service areas and common areas. Whilst Horm's stand has a longitudinal development, recreating a domestic environment where individual settings are clearly distinguishable, G.T.DESIGN's is a purer installation, created by the choice of two curved walls of the project that become a garden area, in which to lose oneself admiring the rug sculptures and Deanna Comellini's creations. The union between Toyo Ito and G.T.Design. is also expressed through the sponsorship of the website www.toyoitoinprogress.com, where in-depth information on the work of the Japanese architect can be found.
